KobiLabs Kobi Toolkit. KobiLabs is a team of engineers and developers with over 100 years of collective experience in CAD/BIM consulting and software development. By developing our own proprietary software – used globally by companies large and small – we have gained invaluable experience in building software for the Autodesk platform and helping customers get the most out of the software. Our customers are primarily architects, structural and civil engineers, but our experience also includes fields such as mechanical engineering, plumbing and surveying. Our customers work with a variety of software platforms (mainly Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Tekla and similar). Our development experience includes CAD/BIM add-ons and desktop and web applications. Kobi Toolkit is the essential Civil 3D add-on that makes your work fast, easy and efficient. This set of tools significantly reduces the number of tedious tasks and helps you focus on your engineering challenges.

Features and functions of the KobiLabs Kobi Toolkit application:

  • Station and Offset: This tool calculates the station and offset of selected points based on selected reference lines. This allows the creation of report tables with station and offset data.
  • Extract Blocks from Points: This tool helps you extract blocks that define Civil 3D COGO points.
  • COGO Points Legend: This tool allows you to create a legend of COGO point markers (symbols) from a drawing. You can define the order of the points in the legend and edit their descriptions.
  • Points Along Alignment: With the Points Along Alignment command, you can create COGO points on the selected polygon line, based on a specified distance along the selected reference line.
  • Add/Subtract Surface: The Add/Subtract Surface tool calculates a new surface by adding/subtracting the height values of selected surfaces.
  • Grading: This powerful grading feature allows you to design different types of spatial entities with different grading criteria, allowing you to save templates, edit source geometry, and review results in real time.
  • Read here for more information about the new Grading features.
  • Copy Gradings: The Copy Gradings command allows you to copy an existing grading definition with all components to a new reference geometry.
  • Join Gradings: This command combines two gradings with similar definitions by creating linear transitions between them.
  • Split Grading: The Split Grading command splits the grading at the selected point, allowing you to edit each new section separately.
  • Join Alignments: The Join Alignments command connects selected reference lines and, if necessary, reference line profiles.
  • Create Offset Alignments: Select a reference line and create multiple offset reference lines in a single instance. You can choose from predefined sets of offset reference lines or create and save new line configurations yourself.
