Dometrain – Deep Dive: Boosting Developer Productivity with AI 2024-6

The main focus of this course is on GitHub Copilot, but other intelligent assistants and related approaches are also discussed. Participants will learn how to use this tool in various integrated development environments (IDEs). The course shows how AI can help in writing software tests, optimizing code, recording code changes (commits), reviewing pull requests, and even in step-by-step implementation of a user story using the Copilot Edits feature. A significant part of this course is dedicated to evaluating Large Language Models (LLMs). Participants will be introduced to advanced models such as Mistral Large, Claude Sonnet, and GPT4o, among others, and will evaluate their performance in various contexts. Subsequently, different types of Large Language Models are used to teach advanced prompt engineering techniques so that participants can get better results from interacting with these models.
