HFS: HTTP File Server is an HTTP file server that allows you to quickly and easily share files over the Internet and allows clients to download them through a clean and simple website. The program essentially turns your computer into an HTTP server, and all users who wish to connect and download files can do so by loading a simple web page in their browser.

HFS includes a wide range of configuration settings, so you can change basically every part of the program, from how users download files to how the generated website looks. The program allows you to set your own IP address, enable download limits and block connected clients from using your download managers, set up a virtual file system, determine how files are uploaded, and configure the tray icon behavior.

If you want to upload new files, simply drag and drop them into the main window of the tool. Alternatively, right-clicking in the left panel also allows you to share an entire folder, whether virtual or real. The interface comes with two different modes: “Expert” and “Easy”, the former of which not only provides a detailed graph to track server traffic, but also displays several statistics such as the number of connections and upload/download speed.
