Learn VHDL and FPGA Development Hands On Course. This course is designed to teach the basics of VHDL and FPGA development through hands-on labs. Before moving on to projects, participants will be introduced to the various parts of the VHDL design structure that explain the concepts and terminology needed to implement projects in VHDL. This section of projects covers a variety of PWM applications, including buzzers and servo motors. Participants will gain a deep understanding of how to generate and control PWM signals for various applications. They will learn how to use PWM to control the speed of motors, adjust the brightness of LEDs, and produce various sounds. They will also explore the basic principles of how servo motors work and how to precisely control their position using PWM signals.

This project is designed to teach how to use an FPGA to interpret commands or codes sent via infrared signals, such as from a television remote control. Participants will learn the principles of infrared transmitters and receivers and how to implement a user interface to receive and process infrared signals on an FPGA. This project teaches participants the basic concepts of serial communication and how to decode the data being sent. In this project, a PS/2 interface is implemented to communicate with a mouse and keyboard. Participants will learn the PS/2 communication protocol and how to receive and interpret the signals generated by the mouse and keyboard on an FPGA. This project will provide participants with a deep understanding of how input devices interact with digital systems.
