Web Security Appliance Course. This comprehensive, hands-on Cisco Web Security course provides the knowledge needed to install, configure, deploy, and maintain the Cisco Web Security Appliance (WSA) hardware. The course begins with an introduction to WSA and then covers the initial steps of system setup and configuration using the System Setup Wizard, as well as configuring the WCCP protocol. Important topics such as URL filtering to block global categories and custom addresses, managing protocols and user agents, and blocking specific applications and objects are covered in detail. Working with the WSA appliance command line interface (CLI) is also part of the training. The course covers advanced topics such as configuring High Availability for Failover, using web authentication and antimalware to combat threats, and applying time limits and quotas. Finally, the appliance is integrated with Cisco ISE through PxGrid technology. To consolidate learning, each section includes hands-on activities, solution reviews, and knowledge tests.
