The Art of Visual Storytelling course. Boost your creativity and fully understand the structure of a successful image with this comprehensive workshop. You will learn the essential techniques that professional artists use to tell compelling stories through their artwork. This workshop uses 3ds Max, After Effects and Photoshop software, although these techniques can be transferred to other 2D and 3D software as well. This workshop will help artists improve their skills in creating compelling images and telling visual stories. Focusing on professional techniques and using specialized software, participants learn how to transform their ideas into visual images and effectively tell the stories they want to convey to an audience.

Over the course of 3 hours, Ronan Le Faure, aka DuFresh, will share his professional techniques he uses to create original digital images. He focuses on the type of visuals needed in the pre-production stage of a film or video game, although the same techniques and approach can be applied to any project, personal or professional. This workshop is designed for intermediate artists who have a basic understanding of image creation and are familiar with 3D and 2D rendering software, although the techniques demonstrated are accessible to artists of all levels. Expect a lot of sketching, extensive use of kitbashing, some essential compositing, and a lot of digital painting to help you master the art of visual storytelling.
